E79 Resources (ESNR) has appointed Patrick Donnelly as its new President and CEO.

Donnelly has a broad range of experience in mineral exploration, capital markets, corporate development and investor relations.

He began his career as a project geologist in Canada almost 30 years ago and subsequently worked as a mining analyst.

He went on to serve as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Development for Trilogy Metals. Prior to Trilogy, he spent over three years as President at First Mining Gold, which he also co-founded, led to a listing on the TSX, and expanded through the negotiation of eight M&A transactions.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to participate in a relatively new and prospective gold exploration story,” stated Donnelly. “I’m particularly enthused about the Beaufort and Myrtleford assets, which are effectively within the headframe shadow of the world-class Fosterville Mine, which is one of the highest-grade gold mines in the world.”

“I am also very impressed with the Australia-based technical team at E79, which has already achieved very good technical success, including the drilling at the Happy Gold Prospect at Myrtleford, which includes an intercept of 11.1 m of 160.45 g/t gold,” he added.

E79 Resources is focused on exploring its mineral properties in Australia’s Victorian Goldfields.

E79 Resources (ESNR) is down by 1.01 per cent trading at $0.49 per share as of 10:55 am EST.
