Global Energy Metals (GEMC) has completed its exploration program at the Monument Peak copper-silver-gold project in Idaho.

The exploration program consisted of rock and soil sampling as well as geological mapping, collecting 557 soil samples and 13 rock samples.

Rock samples ranged up to 5.61 per cent copper, 175 g/t silver, and 17.6 g/t gold. Soil samples showed strong geochemical anomalies along the known mineralized trend, which extends for over 3,200 metres.

Exploration identified a new historical trench between the south and central showings of the property and a mineralized pit 200 metres east of previously known mineralization.

Field crews also identified several new areas of visible copper mineralization over the course of the exploration activities.

Timothy Strong, Project Development Manager of Global Energy Metals, commented on the results.

“While prospecting and soil geochemistry indicate a much larger footprint to the polymetallic mineralization at the property,” he remarked, “the observation and discovery of several additional areas with strong copper, silver, and gold mineralization provides us with new high-priority targets for a future drill program.”

Data collected from this program will be used to prepare an independent technical report, which will allow the company to plan for future drill targeting and permitting.

The Monument Peak Project consists of 69 claims covering approximately 1,380 acres. It is an exploration-staged, high-grade, copper-silver-gold project, which covers two small past-producing copper mines: Jackson and Hungry Hill.

Global Energy Metals offers investors exposure to the growing rechargeable battery and electric vehicle market. Its projects are based in Canada, Australia, Norway, and the United States.

Shares in Global Energy Metals Corp. (GEMC) are down 6.12 per cent, trading at $0.23 per share as of 9:54 am ET.
