Kinross (K) has earned 70 per cent interest at the Laguna Gold Property in Snow Lake, Manitoba.

Pursuant to the July 2018 option agreement, Kinross earned its 70 per cent interest by completing expenditures over C$5,500,000 ahead of the third-year anniversary of the six-year option agreement.

Located in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake Greenstone Belt, Laguna is host to volcanogenic massive copper-zinc and primary gold mines and deposits. Since 2018, Kinross has completed 48 holes in the area totaling approximately 16,470 metres.

For the 2021 season, Kinross’ drilling program will focus on all three Laguna Property claim blocks: Laguna, Lucky Jack and Puella Bay.

“Having Kinross earn in so early on their option to the level of forming a Joint Venture on the Laguna Property confirms our belief of the high gold prospectivity of this land package,” said Alistair Ross, President and CEO of Rockcliff.

Rockcliff Metals retains a 30 per cent participating interest in Laguna.

Rockcliff is a Canadian resource development and exploration company with several advanced-stage, high-grade copper and zinc deposits in the Snow Lake area of Central Manitoba.

Kinross Gold is a Canada-based senior gold producer producing roughly 2.4 million ounces of gold  in 2020. It operates mines and focuses its greenfield and brownfield exploration in the Americas, West Africa and Russia.

Rockcliff (RCLF) is trading flat at C$0.07 per share as of 10:07 am EST.

Kinross Gold (K) is down 0.12 per cent and is currently trading at C$8.38 per share as of 11:17 am EST.
