Modern Foods (MEAT) is developing plant-based pizzas with Carbone Restaurant Group.

Carbone Restaurant Group (CRG) is a leading restaurant group and brand incubator with a focus on technological innovation and quick-service concepts, including ghost kitchens.

Modern Foods’ subsidiary, Modern Meat, currently supplies plant-based meat products to CRG’s FAST FIRED by Carbone, a pizza chain known for sustainable, tailored-made pizzas.

FAST FIRED currently offers Modern Meat Crumble on its “Modern Fiesta” plant-based pizza. Modern Meat is also showcased in CRG’s Plantza Pizza venture on various dishes and as a valued supplier. The subsidiary is helping CRG to expand its plant-based offerings.

FAST FIRED by Carbone is actively franchising restaurants across Canada with plans to open up to 100 new franchises over the next several years.

Modern Plant-Based Foods is a Vancouver-based company offering plant-based products, including meat and dairy-free alternatives, soups and vegan snacks.

Modern Plant-Based Foods (MEAT) is down by 3.33 per cent, trading at $0.145 per share as of 9:40 am ET.
