Puma Exploration (PUMA) has located visible gold from the most recent grab samples taken from its Williams Brook Gold Project.
The 100-percent-owned project is located in New Brunswick.
The most recent grab sample returned up to 34.7 grams per tonne of gold.
A total of 207 samples were collected during the summer, with an average grade of 1.67 grams per tonne of gold.
Samples come from the project’s Jaguar Gold Zone, where high-grade gold mineralization is found in altered rhyolite associated with pervasive pyrite mineralization.
The Vancouver-based mineral explorer believes the results indicate that gold mineralization could be very extensive and that other gold-mineralized zones are expected within the 40,000-hectare project.
The Williams Brook Project is comprised of six claim blocks covering more than 46,000 hectares in an established and mining-friendly jurisdiction.
The land package is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault, a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny and a significant control for gold deposition in the region.
