Riot Games has selected ESE (ESE) to launch a Valorant esports league in 20 European countries.

Valorant is a first-person shooter game inspired by the Counter-Strike series.

The company’s production wing, Frenzy sp. z.o.o., will organize and produce the competition, which will be known as the Valorant Regional League. Its responsibilities include administration and operations, producing broadcast feeds and handling social media channels.

Host countries include Israel, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Cyprus and Romania.

The winners of the first season will compete in the global Valorant Champions Tour Qualifiers. The second split winners will qualify for the VRL EMEA Finals.

Qualifiers begin on January 24, 2022, with the grand final scheduled for March 20, 2022.

“This is truly a testament to our world-class team and their abilities,” said Konrad Wasiela, CEO of ESE. “A rollout of this magnitude highlights our company’s ability to scale and execute on a global level.”

Riot Games develops, publishes and supports player-focused games. Its debut title, League of Legends, has gone on to become the most-played PC game in the world.

ESE is an entertainment and technology company focused on gaming, particularly on esports.

ESE (ESE) is up by 2.50 per cent and is currently trading at $1.23 per share as of 9:35 am EST.
