Quebec Innovative Materials (CSE:QIMC), a Canadian hydrogen explorer, encountered new and substantial free hydrogen concentrations on its St-Bruno-de-Guigues property in Quebec representing a 90 per cent improvement from the property’s previous record under sub-zero conditions. Highlights include 21,882 parts per million (ppm) (2.19 per cent) and 21,055 ppm (2.11 per cent) hydrogen from 75 metres deep on Line 1, Well #8.

Management is seeing more robust hydrogen readings “with the increase in ambient temperatures and fluctuations in atmospheric pressure,” according to Thursday’s news release. Eight wells are currently in action testing depth extent with the potential to deliver value-accretive results.

The company is also getting boots on the ground on newly acquired claims in Ontario, where it will conduct soil sampling and geophysical surveys over the spring and summer.

Thursday’s news follows readings of 13,102 ppm hydrogen and 7,119 ppm hydrogen from St-Bruno-de-Guigues reported in March and January, respectively.

Leadership insights

“These extraordinary results clearly confirm the strength and precision of our approach to clean, natural hydrogen and reinforces QIMC’s position as a leader in the emerging clean natural hydrogen sector,” John Karagiannidis, Quebec Innovative Materials’ chief executive officer, said in a statement. “Our recent expansion into Ontario underscores our commitment to aggressive exploration and positions us well to continue to grow and create value for our shareholders.”
