Joel Freudman, CEO, Co-Founder and President of TRU Precious Metals (TSXV:TRU) spoke to Sonia Madigan about building long-term shareholder value through exploration, potentially leading to exciting mergers and acquisitions opportunities.

At the moment, TRU is building copper-gold-silver assets in the Newfoundland in the highly prospective Central Newfoundland Gold Belt and has an option with TSX-listed Altius Minerals to purchase 100 per cent of the Golden Rose Project.

The Golden Rose Project is a regional-scale 236-square-kilometre land package, including 45 km of strike length along the deposit-bearing Cape Ray-Valentine Lake Shear Zone.

The Golden Rose has proven gold in drilling and surface samples of high grade gold, silver and copper. It started as a gold property, but is shaping up for copper.

Freudman noted that the company is drilling at Golden Rose this quarter. If it makes any major discovery, it may move to the territory of M&A takeover possibility.

In May, TRU completed a non-brokered private placement $1,468,800 to raise capital that would allow it to continue upon its early success at the Golden Rose Project, where the company continues to achieve positive results in its exploration program.

Freudman noted that the challenges the company has to grapple with include investor interest in precious metals, early stage financing to prove value to financiers, and logistical shortages of lab work and personnel which are in demand in Newfoundland at the moment.

However, he sees great opportunities which include the facts that geologists are excited and insiders are buying the stock of the company. For example, two top executives bought the shares of the company recently, which is a sign of belief and endorsement.

Looking at what the future holds in the stock market, Freudman made a strong case for commodities due to high inflation and currency debasement as well as supply crunch due to growing demand for green economy with copper in electric vehicles and solar.

TRU Precious Metals positions itself as a company on a mission to build long-term shareholder value, through prudent natural resource property development and transactions.
