The FTSE 100 slipped 0.23%, extending the pullback overseas.
Oil rose 2.20% as its weeklong decline halted, adding to the pressure on tech even as the S&P 500 held near record levels with the AI rally narrowing to fewer names. Gold fell 1.60% and copper dropped 1.86%, while Bitcoin was roughly flat, down 0.12%. The euro slid to a 10-week low near $1.1430 as traders favored the U.S. dollar, even as euro-zone business activity hit a three-year high on services strength, and a new report showed global space investment more than doubled to $23 billion in the year to June.
