Vox is a high-growth precious metals royalty and streaming company with a portfolio of over 50 royalties and streams spanning eight jurisdictions.

CIO Spencer Cole sat down with Dave Jackson to discuss how Vox unlocks value for investors.

Mining royalty companies like Vox Royalty Corp have the potential to offer their investors high returns and low risk through 100x leverage to third party mining company capital investment.

Royalty companies acquire royalty contracts for a modest one-off price that typically entitle them to 1 per cent – 3 per cent of revenue from part of a mine, despite the fact that the mining company invests 100 per cent of the capital to build the mine.

The fact that royalty companies don’t have to contribute capital to build the mine, while still getting the benefit of future production-linked royalty cashflows creates this potential 100x leverage to capital invested.

Over the past 10 years Vox Royalty has created a systematic advantage to acquire mining royalties at attractive prices on projects that are just about to move into construction, offering over 100x leverage to the third party miner’s capital investment.

For example:

  • Mt Ida gold royalty acquired by Vox for A$250k vs. A$73M construction contract (~300x leverage to operator capex)
  • Segilola gold royalty acquired by Vox for C$900k vs. C$110M mine capital investment (~120x leverage to operator capex)
  • Janet Ivy gold royalty acquired by Vox for A$5M vs. A$462M Binduli expansion capital investment (~90x leverage to operator capex)

This leverage to third party investment by miners directly unlocks value for Vox investors through larger royalty revenues paid by the miners to Vox Royalty when the mine is brought into production.
