Cybersecurity provider Plurilock Security (PLUR) has appointed Gaétan Houle as a senior advisor to the company.

Since listing on the TSXV late last month, Plurilock has been abuzz with activities aimed at advancing the company’s expansion. One such development was the company’s announcement last week, regarding the creation of an advisory board.

Plurilock’s latest addition to its advisory board, Gaétan Houle, is a professional engineer and expert in national cybersecurity. He brings over 35 years of experience in security leadership to his new advisory role at Plurilock Security.

During his career, Gaétan has held various senior security roles within the Canadian Federal Government. These positions have included Chief Engineer of Communications Safety at the Department of National Defence, and Director of Corporate Security at the former Department of Foreign Affairs (now known as Global Affairs Canada).

Gaétan has also worked as Chief Security Officer for numerous private companies, including multinational corporations like Bombardier Aerospace (BBD.B), Airbus Group, and Bell Canada. While with Bell Canada, he led the initiative to protect IT and telecommunication systems for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Most recently, Gaétan worked as National Cybersecurity Practice Leader at Ernst & Young Canada.

Plurilock Security’s CEO, Ian L Paterson, commented on Gaétan’s appointment to the company’s advisory board.

“Mr Houle brings over 35 years of security experience to the table and is widely regarded as an expert in the field of cybersecurity.

“The knowledge that he’s gained over his career at some of the most prominent multinational organisations in the world will enhance our ability to align with large enterprises, critical infrastructure providers, and regulated industries – three of our most important target markets,” he said. 

Plurilock Security (PLUR) is up 2.22 per cent and is trading at C$0.23 per share at 9:30am EDT.
