Liberty Gold Corp. (TSX:LGD; OTCQX:LGDTF) has received the final staged payment of US$2.6 million related to the sale of its 72.1% interest in the TV Tower copper-gold project in Biga Province, northwestern Türkiye.
This completes the full US$8.5 million consideration associated with the transaction.
The company said the final payment marks the completion of a deal announced in 2024 that divested a non-core asset and converted it into non-dilutive capital. Liberty Gold stated that the proceeds have helped reinforce its financial position while allowing management to remain focused on advancing its flagship Black Pine Oxide Gold Project in southeastern Idaho.

Since announcing the sale, Liberty Gold has made progress at Black Pine, including the completion of a feasibility study and continued advancement of formal mine permitting activities. The company views Black Pine as its primary development asset and has aligned its technical and financial efforts toward moving the project closer to a potential construction decision.
Black Pine has also received designation as a Covered Project under the U.S. federal FAST-41 program, a framework designed to improve coordination and transparency for major infrastructure and resource projects undergoing federal environmental review and permitting processes.
According to Liberty Gold, engineering studies, project optimization initiatives, and financing-related work are continuing in parallel as the company advances development plans. Management said these efforts are intended to support a disciplined approach to project execution while evaluating pathways toward future construction.
The completion of the TV Tower transaction provides Liberty Gold with additional financial flexibility without issuing new shares, a factor that can help preserve value for existing shareholders as the company continues to advance Black Pine through permitting and development stages.
“The final TV Tower payment completes the monetization of a non-core asset and adds US$2.6 million to our treasury. Over the past two years, Black Pine has moved from prefeasibility to a completed feasibility study and a defined permitting process,” Liberty Gold’s president and CEO, Jon Gilligan, said in a news release. “Our priority is to carry that progress through the next stage of project development. We are advancing the engineering, permitting and financing work needed to support a disciplined construction decision.
Liberty Gold stock (TSX:LGD) opened trading more than 3% higher at C$2.07 and has risen more than 150% since the year began.
