Global Crossing Airlines (Cboe CA:JET), also known as GlobalX, has announced a new long-term wet-lease agreement with Sunrise Airways, a regional airline operating across the Caribbean. The agreement outlines that GlobalX will provide two Airbus A320 aircraft, each configured with 179 seats, to support Sunrise’s operations beginning in November 2025.

Sunrise Airways currently serves over 20 destinations throughout the Americas, with a network that connects key markets in the United States and Central America to various Caribbean locations. The airline operates under three separate Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) based in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Eastern Caribbean.

With the addition of the two aircraft from GlobalX, Sunrise’s combined operating fleet will expand to 14 aircraft. The arrangement is intended to support Sunrise’s ongoing network growth and operational capacity.

The Sunrise Airways route network, which started with domestic flights in Haiti, now extends throughout the Caribbean, as well as into the United States (Miami) and Central America (Panama). 

Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc. is a U.S. 121 domestic flag and supplemental Airline flying the Airbus A320 family aircraft. GlobalX flies as a passenger ACMI and charter airline serving the U.S., Caribbean, European and Latin American markets. GlobalX is also now operating ACMI cargo service flying the A321 freighter and was recenty approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation for an increase to 16 aircraft from the current authorization of 11 aircraft.
