Key Highlights

  • Western Star Resources outlined four planned drill holes at its 100%-owned White Star tungsten project in Nevada.
  • The White Star plan totals about 1,950 feet (594 metres) from three drill pads, subject to permitting.
  • Combined with Rowland, the companys planned 2026 Nevada program totals about 10 holes and 5,000 feet.

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has identified priority drill targets and set out a planned four-hole drill program at its 100% owned White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada, about 4 kilometres south of Rowland. The company described the program as preliminary and subject to field verification and permitting.

The company said the White Star plan calls for approximately 1,950 feet (594 metres) of drilling from three drill pads, with all pads sited on existing disturbance. Western Star also said that, together with six holes planned at the Rowland Tungsten Property announced on October 13, 2026, its planned 2026 Nevada drill program now totals about 10 holes for approximately 5,000 feet (1,524 metres) from seven drill pads across the two properties.

North Zone and South Zone targets

Western Star said the White Star drill targets were developed using an integrated approach that combined its 2026 field program, an unmanned aerial vehicle magnetic survey and three-dimensional magnetic inversion, and rock-chip and soil assay results. Each planned hole is intended to test one of two tungsten-in-soil anomalies defined at White Star in 2026: the North Zone and the South Zone.

At the North Zone, the company plans two holes totalling 1,000 feet. Western Star said one hole is designed to test beneath rock-chip sample WS-16-01, which it reported at 0.126% WO3, and another is designed to test beneath the southern part of the soil anomaly.

At the South Zone, the company plans two holes totalling 950 feet from a single pad. Western Star said the holes are designed to test beneath soil sample B206, which it reported at 2,230 parts per million tungsten (0.28% WO3), along with adjacent anomalous samples B205 and B203.

The company cautioned that no new assay results are reported in the release and that soil geochemical values represent surficial dispersion and should not be interpreted as indicative of grade or any mineral resource. It also noted that rock-chip and float samples are selective by nature and not necessarily representative of mineralisation.

Permitting status and next steps

Western Star said a Plan of Operations for the proposed White Star drill program is being prepared by KC Harvey Environmental for submission to the U.S. Forest Service, alongside a Nevada Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation reclamation permit. The company said it is advancing permitting for White Star in parallel with Rowland, with the objective of drilling both properties in a single campaign, and that it will provide further updates as permitting milestones are reached.

The scientific and technical information in the release was reviewed and approved by Jasper Mowatt, MIMMM and MAusIMM, a consultant to the company and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101; the company said he is not independent.
