Usha Resources (TSXV:USHA) has kickstarted the fourth phase of fieldwork at its White Willow Lithium Project near Thunder Bay, Ontario.

In a news release, the company stated the goal will be to further define its drill-ready Maple Leaf and Bingo LCT dykes before beginning a maiden drill program this spring.

The phase 4 drilling campaign comes after the completion of phase 3 in January when 727 grab samples were collected over a 10-week period of detailed mapping and prospecting.

During that time, Usha Resources stated it successfully extended the potential strike of the LCT pegmatite to roughly 27 kilometres. The company anticipates releasing assay results shortly.

“We are thrilled with the findings from the most recent phase of fieldwork at White Willow and are very excited to continue to build on our success,” Deepak Varshney, CEO of Usha Resources, said in a statement.” With 10 existing primary target areas already identified across our 27-kilometre-plus trend, we believe phase 4 will contribute significantly in defining these targets ahead of our planned maiden program of 4,000 metres.”

Phase 4 fieldwork began based on the company’s preliminary review of assay data from phase 3 thanks to milder winter conditions. As such, fieldwork will focus on the 27-kilometre strike length of fractioned pegmatites, particularly at Bingo.

The company initially revealed phase 3 results from the White Willow Lithium Project back in February, noting that fractionation indicators suggest the dykes at Bingo and at Maple Leaf have reached spodumene-type degrees of fractionation.

With headquarters in Vancouver, Usha Resources is developing quality lithium metal properties that are drill-ready with high-upside and expansion potential.

Shares of Usha Resources (TSXV:USHA) are up 5.88 per cent to C$0.09 as of noon ET.
