  • Nord Precious Metals (TSXV:NTH) extended the high-grade Robinson silver vein system on its Castle East project in Ontario, including a highlight of 61,389 grams per ton silver over 0.30 metres.
  • The mining company combines a portfolio including numerous past-producing mines with its TTL Laboratories, the only permitted high-grade milling facility in the historic Cobalt Camp of Ontario, into an integrated silver discovery to metals recovery operation.
  • Nord Precious Metals stock (TSXV:NTH) has added 32.14 per cent year-over-year but remains down by more than 95 per cent since 2021.

Nord Precious Metals (TSXV:NTH) extended the high-grade Robinson silver vein system on its Castle East project in Ontario. Here are the highlights:

  • 2,848 grams per ton (g/t) silver over 6.65 metres, including 61,389 g/t silver over 0.30 m, in drillhole CS-21-73W1, only 10 m from the main CS-21-73 discovery made in 2022.
  • 242 g/t silver over 4.3 m in CS-21-73W2.
  • A new mineralized silver-cobalt intercept in drillhole CS-21-73W3, located only 25 m updip and southward of CS-21-73W1, sporting evenly distributed mineralization to be confirmed by ongoing assays.

These high-conviction extensions add to the excitement unleashed by the project’s best intercept to date, 89,853 g/t silver over 0.3 m, which ranks among the highest silver grades ever drilled.

Drilling is ongoing under Nord’s 30,000-m program at Castle East, with the 3,500-m phase 1 program validating as many as 29 discrete vein targets, and the company keen to grow known zones and establish underground access for bulk sampling at its permitted mill in Cobalt, Ontario.

The Robinson vein hosts a historical resource of 27,400 tons averaging 8,582 g/t silver, working out to 7.56 million ounces of silver. This is in addition to abundant secondary critical minerals, including cobalt, nickel, copper and gold, consistent with the five-element assemblage characteristic of the Cobalt-Gowganda district, setting a prospective tone as project economics are further established.

Leadership commentary

“These assays confirm what the core showed us in February: Castle East continues to deliver significantly strong silver values in the style that defined this district, with high-grade silver over 0.30 m inside a 6.65-metre mineralized envelope and critical minerals carried right alongside it,” Frank J. Basa, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nord Precious Metals, said in Tuesday’s news release. “With Nord now holding title to all the area mining leases following the recent acquisition, we can test structures that could not be drilled under fragmented ownership. Just one of the past-producing mines acquired produced approximately 40 million ounces of silver and has further potential for high-grade discovery under the current Castle East exploration model. Equally important is the new native silver intercept in CS-21-73W3, which shows the vein system carrying strong silver-cobalt mineralization further than we had previously drilled and confirms the structure remains open along strike. Every metre we drill feeds directly into our planned resource update and, in turn, a future production plan.”
