Bombardier (TSX:BBD.A/BBD.B) will begin a new normal course issuer bid or stock buyback program on April 15, 2026. Purchases are capped at 605,435 or 5 per cent of Class A shares and up to 4,327,859 or 5 per cent of Class B shares, with an end date of April 14, 2027.

Shares acquired under the buyback will either be cancelled to mitigate dilution from the granting of stock options, added to an employee benefits plans trust account or cancelled to manage Bombardier’s capital position and enhance shareholder value.

Leadership will base its buy decisions on “a number of factors and considerations, including changes in the market price of the two classes of shares,” according to Monday’s news release, offering the flexibility to take advantage of undervaluation.

Purchases will be limited to 2,809 Class A shares and 91,047 Class B shares per day, representing 25 per cent of their respective average daily trading volumes over the six months ended March 31, 2026.

Bombardier picked up 28,767 Class A shares and 943,033 Class B shares under its previous buyback ended April 2, 2026, at weighted average prices of C$238.35 and C$175.33, respectively, despite each class more than tripling in price year-over-year, speaking to the company’s elevated expectations for the year ahead.
