  • LaFleur Minerals (CSE:LFLR) intersected broad, continuous gold mineralization at depth, confirming the Swanson Gold Deposit remains open and extends beyond the current 2026 resource model
  • Drilling returned strong intercepts, including 1.18 g/t Au over 255.04 m, 1.65 g/t Au over 136.1 m, and 2.29 g/t Au over 68.3 m, with additional high‑grade zones up to 86.8 g/t Au over 1.0 m
  • Results reinforce the potential for a large‑scale gold system, now traced over 275 m along strike and beyond 300 m depth in Québec’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt

LaFleur Minerals (CSE:LFLR), reported promising results from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the Swanson Gold Project, highlighting the discovery of new gold mineralization zones that significantly extend beyond the limits of the current resource model and reinforce the potential for a large‑scale gold system.

The company said four diamond drill holes, completed at vertical depths of approximately 300 to 450 metres and spaced across a 120‑metre strike length, were designed to specifically test the down‑dip continuity of the Swanson Gold Deposit. The results confirmed that gold mineralization remains robust at depth and continues to expand beyond the existing 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate envelope.

“These are very encouraging and mark a significant milestone for the Swanson Gold Project,” LaFleur Minerals’ CEO, Paul Ténière, said in a news release. “Intersecting such broad zones of consistent gold mineralization at these grades and intercepts clearly demonstrates the scale and continuity of the system. Importantly, these holes not only extend the deposit beyond the current resource envelope but also highlight the presence of higher-grade zones that could enhance the overall economics of the project. With mineralization remaining open at depth and along strike, we believe Swanson has the potential to evolve into a much larger gold system than previously defined.”

Drilling highlights

LaFleur reported several wide intercepts of gold mineralization, including:

  • 2.29 g/t Au over 68.30 metres (hole SW‑25‑079)
  • 1.18 g/t Au over 255.04 metres (hole SW‑25‑080)
  • 1.65 g/t Au over 136.1 metres (hole SW‑25‑081)

The broad mineralized intervals, particularly in holes SW‑25‑080 and SW‑25‑081, confirm the presence of extensive gold halos at depth, supporting the interpretation of a large and continuous mineralized system. Higher‑grade mineralization encountered in SW‑25‑079 further underscores the strength and consistency of the deposit.

In addition to the wide intercepts, isolated high‑grade zones were intersected, including assays of up to 86.8 g/t Au over 1.0 metre. These higher‑grade intervals occur outside the currently defined mineralized envelopes and suggest the potential presence of additional high‑grade shoots within the system.

Visible gold was observed in several drill holes, providing further confirmation of the prospectivity for high‑grade mineralization at depth.

Expanding geological understanding

The recent drill holes have provided valuable insights into the geometry and plunge of the mineralized zones, significantly advancing LaFleur’s geological understanding of the Swanson Gold Deposit. The company noted that mineralization remains open both at depth and along strike, reinforcing the deposit’s strong growth potential.

With these latest results, the Swanson Gold Deposit can now be traced over approximately 275 metres along strike, with an average horizontal width of 150 metres and extending to depths exceeding 300 metres.

Next steps

The results from the current drilling campaign will directly inform future targeting as LaFleur continues to evaluate the full potential of the Swanson Gold Project. The project is located in the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt near Val‑d’Or, one of Canada’s premier gold‑producing regions.

LaFleur said further drilling is planned to continue testing the depth and strike extensions of the mineralized system as the company works toward advancing Swanson into the next stage of resource growth.
