Laurion Mineral Exploration (TSXV:LME) signed an exploration agreement with Animbiigoo Zaagi’igan Anishinaabek (Lake Nipigon Ojibway First Nation), Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek (formerly Rocky Bay First Nation), and Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek (Sandpoint First Nation).
The agreement covers consultation and collaboration with the First Nations groups pertaining to the expansion of Laurion’s 57-square-kilometre Ishkõday project, located 220 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Key points under the agreement include education, employment, exploration, environmental management and regional development.
Ishkõday has yielded extensive high-grade drilling results supported by geophysical surveys, structural and metallurgical studies and strategic target refinement, consistently demonstrating its value to the market.
