The TSX is down 1.03%, while the TSX Venture Index is lower by 3.07%, as Canadian markets retreat amid renewed geopolitical tension and a sharp pullback in global equities. U.S. markets are also under pressure, with the S&P 500 down 1.00%, the Dow off 1.12%, and the Nasdaq sliding 1.43% as investors react to fresh warnings from Washington over the Iran conflict. London’s FTSE 100 is down more than half a percent, reflecting broad risk‑off sentiment across global markets

Commodities are adding to volatility. Oil remains elevated but is pulling back, down 1.51%, after recent spikes tied to Middle East supply disruptions.
