Slam Exploration (TSXV:SXL) reported a second gold discovery up to 16.20 g/t gold on its wholly owned Jake Lee mineral claims in New Brunswick.

This content has been prepared as part of a partnership with Slam Exploration Ltd., and is intended for informational purposes only.

The result is part of a new mineralized zone, now known as JL No. 2, located about 100 metres from the initial JL No. 1 discovery reported on July 9 yielding up to 94.80 g/t gold.

Both zones reside about 2,000 meters east of the historic New River gold occurrence, which delivered 1998 bedrock grab samples up to 5.35 g/t gold, with all three areas coinciding with 2,800 metres of aeromagnetic anomalies extending across the Jake Lee claims, as depicted in the featured image.

Trenching slated for September aims to further delineate JL No. 1 and JL No. 2’s potential, representing only a pair among 34 gold targets identified at Jake Lee and the adjacent Love Lake claim group, including a historical quartz float occurrence of 302.5 g/t gold, 7,316 soil geochemical anomalies up to 10 g/t gold, as well as 60 stream sediment samples up to 3.58 g/t gold.

According to Thursday’s news release, Slam has also requested proposals for a 4,000-metre drilling program on its Goodwin copper, nickel and cobalt project after identifying chargeability anomalies suggesting potential extensions of mineralization at depth.
